Kansas Originals Market was created as a place for Kansas artists, craftsmen, and food producers to sell their products. It is owned by the Post Rock Opportunities Foundation, a non-profit 501©3 membership corporation, which was founded to help the economy of rural Kansas. The business is located in a new 5,800 sq. ft. building located at Interstate 70 and K-232 highways. It has two large showrooms, a combination year-round Christmas room and Kansas food room, handicapped-accessible restrooms, offices, and a tourist information area.

Thousands of visitors each month visit Kansas Originals Market. Through print, radio, television, and Internet advertising, as well as through highway billboards and craft shows, the Market is well promoted nation wide. Through storyboards and brochures, the area's tourist attractions are also promoted.

Membership in Kansas Originals Market is available for any Kansas artist, craftsmen, or food producer.

Special memberships are available to those artists, craftsmen, or food producers who meet any one of the following qualifications: age 62 or over, handicapped, low-income, minority as defined by the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission, not-for-profit organization, or a business which is owned, operated, and controlled by women.

Items sold in the Market are selected by a committee on the product's salability and the inventory needs of the Market. Our goal is to help each member produce a marketable product. Salable art, handcrafts, and packaged foods are in demand.

Besides the memberships, the Post Rock Opportunities Foundation appreciates all donations. These donations provide support for Kansas Originals Market.
