Stitch of Courage, the third and final book in the Trail of Thread series by Kansas author Linda Hubalek is a work of historical fiction that covers the life of Maggie Kennedy during the Civil War. At a time of increased terrorist raids and attempts by the Confederate Army to capture the west, Maggie's letters to her sister in Ohio describe how the women of Kansas bravely defended their homes while their men were off on the battlefields.
